The digital revolution, enhanced inter-connectivity and automation have transformed the concept of space-time. We are witnessing the transition from the idea of physical distance -measured in metres travelled- to that of a time-based distance -the time required to travel such distance, during which users are aided by digital services or other means.
People are increasingly mobile and eager for innovative services. Faced with this challenge, Menighetti has developed a kinetic approach combining the dynamics of user movements and the new perceptions of space and time with the idea of geolocation and traceability.
To carry out our research and simulations, we joined forces with the Traffic Flow Studies and Mobility division of AREP Group.
The ongoing interaction between our two teams fosters relevant and contextual solutions to complex projects.
