Fostering a sustainable approach

House and city design is key for dealing with energy and environmental challenges facing our societies. 

Menighetti's integrated approach takes into account sustainability issues at an early stage and throughout the design process in order to deliver quality solutions whatever the type of development project - from new developments built from the ground up through to the redevelopment of single buildings or new cities.

Menighetti :

  • promotes the optimisation of needs in order to deliver appropriate solutions and to curb operational and maintenance costs
  • integrates mobility considerations into feasibility tests
  • determines the order for dealing with the various goals of the project and provides advise on potential labelling issues during the programming phase
  • assesses proposals at the design stage

Dynamic Analysis Process

Needs are analysed by taking into consideration relevant geographical, socio-demographic and technical indicators. Our teams constantly monitor the factors encouraging innovation within a context of technological breakthroughs in order to meet the challenges of the sustainable city.
This "dynamic programming" approach is based on cross-sector analyses and allows to take into account the constantly evolving ways to make use of and understand spaces which follow changing lifestyles, themselves thoroughly transformed by the digital revolution. The aim of this approach is to promote a forward-looking design for the public amenities of tomorrow.

A User-Oriented Approach

The digital revolution, enhanced inter-connectivity and automation have transformed the concept of space-time. We are witnessing the transition from the idea of physical distance -measured in metres travelled- to that of a time-based distance -the time required to travel such distance, during which users are aided by digital services or other means.
People are increasingly mobile and eager for innovative services. Faced with this challenge, Menighetti has developed a kinetic approach combining the dynamics of user movements and the new perceptions of space and time with the idea of geolocation and traceability.
To carry out our research and simulations, we joined forces with the Traffic Flow Studies and Mobility division of AREP Group. The ongoing interaction between our two teams fosters relevant and contextual solutions to complex projects.

Our teams develop bespoke solutions for each particular issue encountered, always taking into account the needs and behaviour patterns of users. This approach has been chiefly developed in the context of the Programme National de Rénovation Urbaine (National Urban Regeneration Programme), where Menighetti has been working hand in hand with social operators and stakeholders in the field.

An Iterative and Collaborative Process

We assist our clients in their research and decision-making process throughout the life of the project. An iterative work process is implemented and each one of its steps is validated once the relevant needs have been assessed and analysed.
Working with us means both embracing a "project mode" process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team who uses data extracted from our data pool as well as from the traffic flow management and geographic information systems analysis.
